AI Safety & Guardrails

System-level protections for autonomous AI and the SUITE ecosystem

Core Safety Principle

SUITE's autonomous AI systems are designed to create value, not harm. Every layer of automation includes guardrails to ensure the technology serves people, respects boundaries, and aligns with ethical principles.

This page documents the safety mechanisms across all SUITE systems—from content moderation to code sandboxing to financial protections.

Content Moderation

App Content Policy

Apps built by the AI Fleet must comply with strict content guidelines:

  • No adult/pornographic content — Apps must be appropriate for all audiences
  • No hate speech or harassment — Content promoting discrimination is prohibited
  • No illegal activity — Apps cannot facilitate unlawful actions
  • No deceptive practices — Scams, phishing, or misleading apps are rejected
  • No harmful code — Malware, spyware, or data theft is blocked

AI-Generated Content Review

When the AI Fleet generates apps autonomously, additional review layers apply:

  • Automated content scanning — AI checks output for policy violations
  • Human review queue — Flagged content goes to human moderators
  • Safe-by-default generation — AI is prompted to avoid sensitive topics
  • Governance approval — Depositors vote on new app concepts before build

Code & Execution Safety

Isolated App Repositories

AI-built apps are sandboxed in separate repositories. They cannot:

  • Access or modify the main SUITE platform codebase
  • Read or write to other apps' code
  • Access system directories or sensitive files
  • Execute privileged system commands

Prompt Filtering

The AI Fleet includes safeguards against dangerous operations:

  • Blocklist patterns — Destructive commands are blocked
  • Path restrictions — Cannot access system directories or parent folders
  • Flag for review — Suspicious operations are held for human approval

Approval Queue

New app concepts go through an approval process:

  • AI generates app concept with features and use case
  • Depositors vote on whether to build (governance)
  • Only approved concepts enter the build queue
  • Built apps go through final review before deployment

Financial Protections

Vault Safety

The USDC vault is designed with depositor protection in mind:

  • Principal protection — Your deposit is always withdrawable
  • No lock-ups — Withdraw anytime without penalties
  • Conservative yield — Only proven DeFi strategies are used
  • Liquidity buffer — 5-15% kept liquid for immediate withdrawals

Smart Contract Security

  • Audited code — Contracts reviewed before deployment
  • Reentrancy protection — Guards against common attack vectors
  • Rate limiting — Prevents rapid exploitation
  • Upgrade path — Ability to patch vulnerabilities if found

AI Fleet Guardrails

Autonomous AI Boundaries

When the AI Fleet operates autonomously:

  • Scope limitations — AI Fleet can only create new apps, not modify infrastructure
  • Governance approval — AI-generated concepts require depositor votes before building
  • Review before publish — Built apps go through approval before deployment
  • Kill switch — AI Fleet can be paused instantly by admins

Human Always in Control

The AI Fleet is a tool, not a replacement for human judgment. Depositors control what gets built through governance. Admins can intervene, pause, review, and override AI decisions at any time.

Evolving Safeguards

As SUITE grows, safety mechanisms will evolve:

  • Machine learning moderation — Smarter content detection
  • Community reporting — Users can flag problematic content
  • Governance voting — Community decides on policy changes
  • External audits — Third-party security reviews

The goal: systems that serve humanity, not harm it.
